BMW Recently Revealed the Agile, Powerful New BMW X2

November 6th, 2017 by

On October 25, BMW reported that the first-ever BMW X2 is joining the BMW X family of vehicles for the 2018 model year. Featuring a specially-tuned chassis, BMW's intelligent xDrive all-wheel-drive system, and a cutting-edge BMW TwinPower Turbo engine, this all-new Sports Activity Vehicle stands out from the crowd thanks to its heady balance of efficiency and sporty dynamics.

The BMW X2's exterior design takes the best elements from its X4 and X6 siblings and adds the low-slung proportions found on a coupe. For example, the X2 has the same wheelbase measurements as the X1, but it's both shorter and lower. This results in a vehicle that offers a more muscular silhouette.

The driver-centric interior puts the controls where it's easy for the driver to both operate them and get vital information quickly. Plus, with the integrated BMW Connected app and BMW ConnectedDrive Services, it's now easier than ever for drivers to stay connected, organize their days and plan their routes to and from work.

The 2018 BMW X2 xDrive28i will feature the latest-generation 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine and match it to an 8-speed Steptronic transmission. Together, they manufacture 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, reaching a 0-60 mph time of just 6.3 seconds.
