BMW Delivers Positive Sales in November
Last week, BMW announced that the company saw 28,049 new cars and Sports Activity Vehicles (SAVs) sold in the United States throughout November, registering in a 7.1 percent sales increase over results from November 2016.
The strong performance can be attributed to the BMW 5 Series, as it handed in a stellar 255.4 percent increase over last November on sales of 4,002 vehicles. In addition, the 3 Series was up 14.2 percent for the month, and the 6 Series returned a gain of 27.2 percent.
Customer demand for the family of BMW SAVs also continued, with the X4 growing sales by 33.6 percent, the X6 gaining 31.2 percent, and the X5 increasing by 17.5 percent.
In a press release, Bernhard Kuhnt, President and CEO, BMW of North America, declared, "November ended in a strong way for us at BMW. This week at the LA Auto Show, we gave everyone a view of what’s to come and now the November sales result has given us the perfect lead-in to what is always the most important sales month of the year, December. The indicators for the coming months give us optimism especially as the popular new X3 is now launching across the U.S., the new 5 Series continues building momentum, and BMW Group electrified vehicles accounted for nearly 6% of sales in November."
