BMW 4 Series 430i and 430i xDrive

430i and 430i xDriveThe first BMW we have on our roster is the BMW 430i. Its baseline engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that’s capable of cranking out 255 horsepower with 294 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a standard 8-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive comes standard with the 430i. The baseline trim level is available as either a coupe or convertible and has a curb weight of 3,578 to 3,918 pounds as well as an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 26 city/34 highway MPG.1

For overall safety and entertainment, there’s plenty of features that come as standard such as an HD Radio™, Bluetooth®, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a smart device integration system that allows for easy streaming of music, and an auxiliary audio input. For safety, some of its standard features are a rearview camera, a blind-spot monitor, lane departure warning, several airbags both for the driver and passengers, traction control, and brake assist.

The next model in the line-up is the 430i xDrive, and it shares many features with the 430i including its engine and powertrain. One way they differ, however, is that xDrive all-wheel-drive comes as standard on the 430i xDrive. It can also sprint from 0 to 60 MPH in just 5.3 seconds.

The BMW M440i and M440i xDrive

M440i and M440i xDriveThe next two BMW 4 Series trim levels in our lineup are the BMW M440i and M440i xDrive, which are classified as sports cars. Right from the start, the major differences you’ll see between these two trim levels and their counterparts are their engines and overall power. Both trims run on a turbocharged 3.0-liter 6-cylinder with 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.

The M440i xDrive also comes standard with a 48-volt mild hybrid system for energy regeneration while driving. For greater handling, the M440i xDrive also comes equipped with an M Sport suspension that reduces body roll while cornering, offering much greater balance. Although coming as standard with the M440i xDrive, this feature is also optional as an upgrade that’s available on any of the previous trim levels.

Variable Sport steering is also standard, which increases the steering angle of the front wheels, which is helpful when dealing with tight situations such as crowded parking lots.
