So how does BMW keep a good thing like this going? Simple. Update the BMW X3 SAV for 2013, and do so in a big way.

And believe us when we say that BMW has something big in plan. As for what that is? Guess we can spill the beans. BMW is planning to add a powerful and efficient new powerplant under the hood. In fact, it's the same one found in the BMW Z4, 328i, and 528i. That would be a Turbo four-cylinder engine (N20), for those of you who are wondering.

Of course, it wouldn't be like BMW to simply slap in a better engine and call it a day. No, no, they have bigger plans in store. New standard features in the 2013 BMW X3 SAV include Auto Start Stop, Driving Dynamics Control with ECO PRO and a power tailgate.
